Guest Ratings & Reviews
The Ryad had a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were spacious and cozy, true to its Moroccan roots, and the terrace was lovely. However, there was an issue with being forced to pay for extra city tax. The location, while not ideal to reach easily, was good overall being away from the noisy nightlife.
I found the hotel's location to be quite convenient being just on the edge of the old town, making it easy to access the new city. The rooms were clean and comfortable in general, but lacked certain amenities like tea and coffee facilities and a proper bathroom ventilation system. The service was a bit lacking in communication and warmth, with an incident of being left unattended for an hour. The dining experience had its highs and lows, with an attempt to charge for boiling water, but did offer a reasonably priced set menu. The hotel seemed to be a better option than what we initially booked, but the surroundings were not the most pleasant, filled with loitering men and stray cats.
I stayed in the SHALIMAR junior suite, and overall, my experience was mixed. The room was nicely standard with a good size bathroom, an incredibly comfortable bed, safe, fridge, and storage, but there were some drawbacks like the absence of tea and coffee facilities, no heating or fan extraction in the bathroom, and only a wall-mounted heating unit.
The hotel is located just on the edge of the old town with a lovely courtyard and terrace, providing a safe and secure feeling. The rooms are beautiful and modern with a Moroccan influence, yet lack tea & coffee facilities and bathroom heating. The staff are very friendly and helpful, although the initial welcome experience could be improved. The dining options are basic but incorporate local fresh products. Overall, a convenient location with some room for enhancement in certain areas.
The hotel offers cute rooms with an original Moroccan flair, making our long weekend very enjoyable. However, the lack of tea&coffee facilities and bathroom ventilation was a downside.
